CERTAIN SICARTEX KIDDY TOP SAFE CHILD SEATS MANUFACTURED BETWEEN MARCH 1 AND OCTOBER 31, 2003, AND DISTRIBUTED THROUGH MERCEDES-BENZ DEALERSHIPS. THE LOWER LATCHING ARM ON THE LATCH ANCHORAGE MAY NOT MEET THE REQUIRED MATERIAL STRENGTH.
Injuries / Consequence
IF THE CHILD SEAT IS CONNECTED TO THE VEHICLE USING THE LATCH ANCHORAGE, IN THE EVENT OF A VEHICLE CRASH, THE CHILD SEAT MAY DETACH FROM ITS LOWER ANCHORAGE, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY TO THE CHILD OCCUPANT.
