Description

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTORCYCLES. THE LATCH SECURING THE PASSENGER SEAT ON THESE MOTORCYCLES CAN FAIL ALLOWING THE SEAT AND PASSENGER TO FALL OFF THE REAR OF THE MOTORCYCLE.

Injuries / Consequence

THE PASSENGER COULD SUSTAIN SERIOUS INJURIES OR DEATH.

Remedy

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THESE SEATS WITH A NEW SEAT THAT INCORPORATES AN IMPROVED LATCH MECHANISM AND A MORE RIGID BASE. IN ADDITION, SOME BODY WORK AROUND THE PASSENGER SEAT WILL BE REMOVED SO THAT THE REPLACEMENT SEAT WILL FIT PROPERLY.
