Description
Performance Machine, Inc. (PM) is recalling certain Coastal Moto Phantom wheels manufactured January 1, 2010 to July 8, 2014. The affected five spoke motorcycle wheels, offered in Contrast Cut, Contrast Cut Platinum, and Chrome in thirteen sizes, have spokes that may crack.
Injuries / Consequence
A cracked spoke may result in spoke failure and impair vehicle handling, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Performance Machine will notify owners and will replace the wheels, free of charge. Performance Machine issued an interim notification to owners on June 16, 2015. The recall began on July 30, 2015. Owners may contact PM customer service at 1-800-479-4037.
