Mounting System may Allow CNG Tank To Move
Description
Agility Fuel Systems (Agility) is recalling certain compressed natural gas (CNG) Tank Rail Mount Systems manufactured September 2010 through January 2013. The affected mounting systems may allow the CNG tank to rotate or move within the mounting system which could damage the fuel and vent lines.
Injuries / Consequence
If the high-pressure fuel and vent lines may become damaged, a fuel leak may result, increasing the risk of a fire. Additionally, the fuel line may become pinched disrupting the flow of fuel to the engine, increasing the risk of a stall.
Remedy
Agility will notify owners, and Agility field personnel will install revised stainless steel mounting straps, hardware and rubber isolators. The recall began in early July 2014. Owners may contact Agility customer service at 1-949-236-5520.
