MTD Recalls Utility Vehicles Due to Fire Hazard

Recalled: June 11, 2008 ~About 700 units affected 08583

Description

The recalled utility vehicle is a four-wheel-drive vehicle with "Cub Cadet, Tracker Edition" printed on the side panel. This vehicle has roll over protection and an open cargo bed in the back with "Volunteer" printed on the side. It is equipped with a Kohler electronic fuel-injected engine. The model/serial plate is located under the driver's seat.

Injuries / Consequence

MTD has received five reports of heat damage to the vehicle. There have been no reports of personal injury.

Remedy

Consumers should stop using these vehicles immediately and contact their Cub Cadet dealership to have their utility vehicle serviced at no charge. All known consumers have been contacted. Each reworked utility vehicle has a green "X" label on the model/serial tag.
