Description

NAVISTAR IS RECALLING 1,765 MY 1998 THROUGH 2003 RE SCHOOL AND COMMERCIAL BUSES MANUFACTURED BETWEEN JANUARY 5, 1998 AND JULY 23, 2002, EQUIPPED WITH INTERNATIONAL T444E ENGINES. THE HOSE ASSEMBLIES THAT SUPPLY HIGH PRESSURE OIL TO THE ENGINE'S CYLINDER HEADS MAY DETERIORATE AND ALLOW OIL TO LEAK OR MIST IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.

Injuries / Consequence

LEAKING OR MISTING OIL IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT MAY IGNITE RESULTING IN A FIRE POSSIBLY CAUSING PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, OR DEATH.

Remedy
