Description
SUBURBAN MANUFACTURING COMPANY, A DIVISION OF AIRXCEL, INC., IS RECALLING 240 PORTABLE OUTDOOR COOKTOPS, MODEL SDN2H WITH PART NO. 2965A, PRODUCED BETWEEN DECEMBER 2007 AND MAY 2008, . THESE COOKTOPS ARE SOLD FOR USE OUTSIDE A FOLDING CAMPING TRAILER WITH A DETACHABLE CONNECTION TO THE GAS SUPPLY. A SECTION OF THE FLEXIBLE HOSE CONNECTING THE GAS SUPPLY FROM THE TRAILER TO THE GAS CONTROL MANIFOLD IN THE COOKTOP WAS DETERMINED TO BE INADEQUATELY PROTECTED FROM THE HEAT GENERATED BY THE BURNER.
Injuries / Consequence
IF THE HOSE IS OVERHEATED, THE HOSE CAN DETERIORATE AND BEGIN TO LEAK LP GAS WHICH COULD POSSIBLY RESULT IN A FIRE.
