Description

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTOR HOMES. THE ELECTRICAL CONDUIT WAS NOT WRAPPED WITH A HEAT SHIELD ALLOWING THE CONDUIT TO GET TOO HOT AND SAG.

Injuries / Consequence

IF THE CONDUIT SAGS, IT GETS TOO CLOSE TO THE EXHAUST AND WILL OVERHEAT THE COPPER WIRING INSIDE AND BURN, INCREASING THE RISK OF A FIRE.

Remedy

OVERLAND HAS GONE OUT OF BUSINESS. DEALERS WERE TO WRAP THE CONDUIT WITH HEAT DEFLECTOR MATERIAL, ADD 2 CLAMP RINGS, AND A MOUNTING CLAMP TO REATTACH THE CONDUIT UP TOWARD THE FRAME.
