Description

Kovatch Mobile Equipment Corp. (KME) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Predator fire trucks. The incorrect relay valve may have been installed, which can prevent the park brake from engaging and allow the vehicle to roll away. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

Injuries / Consequence

A vehicle roll away can increase the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy

Dealers will inspect and replace the relay valve as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 3, 2024. Owners may contact KME customer service at 1-800-235-3928.
