Orscheln Products L.L.C. (Orscheln) is recalling certain Cable Connector Clips Part No. 82100600 which are incorporated into Orscheln cable assembly Part Nos. 15867200, 15867201, 15867202, 15867204, 15880700, 15880701, 15880702, 15883400, 15884000, 23034304, 23034305, 23034306, 23035801, 23035802, 23035803, 23037200, 23037201, 23037202, 1586704-P, and 15880700-P, manufactured January 19, 2015, to September 30, 2015. The metal connecting clip that connects the parking brake cable linkage may fail.
Injuries / Consequence
Unintentional release of the parking brake can cause the vehicle to roll, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.
Remedy
Orscheln will notify its customers and will replace the parking brake cable connector clip with properly heat treated cable clips, free of charge. The recall began on March 25, 2016. Owners may contact Orscheln customer service at 1-660-269-4900.
