Description

EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: INCORRECTLY MANUFACTURED TRAILER HITCH BALL MOUNT COMPONENTS, PART NOS. 65509, 67509, AND 61009, AND THE BALL MOUNT ITSELF, 58112, AND MANUFACTURED BETWEEN AUGUST 1, 1999, TO APRIL 14, 2000. THESE BALL MOUNTS CAN BREAK WITHOUT WARNING.

Injuries / Consequence

IF THE THE BALL MOUNT BREAKS, THE TONGUE OF THE TRAILER CAN FALL TO THE GROUND, POSSIBLY CAUSING A VEHICLE CRASH.

Remedy

DEALERS ARE BEING INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT THEIR CUSTOMERS TO BRING IN THEIR VEHICLES TO HAVE THE TRAILER HITCH REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE. PURCHASERS OF THESE AFTERMARKET TRAILERS HITCHES SHOULD CONTACT THEIR DEALER OR REESE PRODUCTS AT 1-800-758-0869, TO REGISTER WITH THE MANUFACTURER FOR THE RECALL.
