Description

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES. THE FUEL RETURN PIPE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT CAN WEAR THROUGH AS THE RESULT OF REPEATED CONTACT WITH THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD AS THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN. IF THE HOSE BECOMES DAMAGED, FUEL LEAKAGE COULD OCCUR.

Injuries / Consequence

FUEL LEAKAGE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.

Remedy

DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE ROUTING OF THE FUEL RETURN LINE. IF NECESSARY, THE DEALER WILL REPOSITION THE HOSE OR REPLACE IT WITH A NEW HOSE IF IT WAS DAMAGED.
