Description

Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2019-2020 TL80 and TL100 aerial devices. The rotation bearing bolts may loosen during unit use, causing them to fail.

Injuries / Consequence

If the rotation bearing bolts fail, the boom could fall, increasing the risk of injury or death.

Remedy

Terex will notify owners, and dealers will install Field Service Kit Z1604 which includes replacement rotation bearing bolts, washers, pedestal reinforcement plates, and bolt spacers, free of charge. Owners are advised to perform a pre-shift inspection procedure until the repair is complete. The recall began November 24, 2020. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN687.
