Description

Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2016 DLB Digger Derrick vehicles. The fasteners that secure the outer rotation bearings may fail.

Injuries / Consequence

If the fasteners that attach the rotation platform to the truck fail, the digger boom may unintentionally move, increasing the risk of injury to the user or those nearby.

Remedy

Altec has notified owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the fasteners, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on February 24, 2017. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is MAB 650.
