Description

Hyundai Translead is recalling certain 2022 V/T 53SW Q29485 VI2530154-AFJ Dry Van trailers equipped with Dexter Smart-Steer 2.0 Axles with bolt-on steering arms. The steering arm may fracture during certain conditions, such as low speed and high side-loading.

Injuries / Consequence

The fractured steering arm and tie rod can separate and fall to the ground, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will install a new steering arm and additional welds, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 7, 2023. Owners may contact Hyundai Translead customer service at 1-800-251-0871.
