Description
Terex Advance (Terex) is recalling certain model year 2011-2015 FD4000B, FD5000D, FD6000B, and FD7000B concrete mixers manufactured January 1, 2011, to September 1, 2015. The affected vehicles have steerable tag axles operated by Eaton Hydraulics S26 Gear Pumps. These gear pumps may unexpectedly fail, reducing the ability to properly steer the vehicle.
Injuries / Consequence
The loss of steering ability may increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Terex will notify owners, and dealers will replace the S26 gear pumps, free of charge. The recall began on December 22, 2015. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-800-433-6691.
