Description

ON CERTAIN TRUCKS, THE NUT THAT RETAINS THE STEERING WHEEL MAY NOT HAVE BEEN INSTALLED.

Injuries / Consequence

IF THE RETAINING NUT WAS NOT INSTALLED, THE STEERING WHEEL MAY COME OFF, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH.

Remedy

DEALERS WILL REMOVE THE HORN BUTTON TO CONFIRM THAT THE RETAINING NUT WAS INSTALLED. A RETAINING NUT WILL BE ADDED IF THE NUT IS MISSING. THE RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 12, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MACK TRUCKS AT 800-866-1177.
