THE WELD ON THE UPPER STEERING SHAFT WHERE THE FEMALE SPLINE CONNECTS TO THE TUBE ASSEMBLY MAY HAVE BEEN INCORRECTLY POSITIONED AND ACTUALLY MISSED THE SEAM.

Remedy

THE DEALER WILL INSPECT AND, IF NECESSARY, REPLACE THE AFFECTED SHAFT WITH ONE THAT HAS BEEN PROPERLY WELDED, AT NO CHARGE.
