THE STEERING WHEEL HUB TAPER MAY BE LARGER THAN THE SPECIFIED TOLERANCES.

Injuries / Consequence

PROGRESSIVE WEAR OF THE MATING PARTS COULD RESULT IN HUBSPLINE WEAR, CAUSING THE STEERING WHEEL FIT TO BECOME LOOSE. A LOOSE FIT IN THESTEERING WHEEL HUB CAN CAUSE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL AND POTENTIAL VEHICLECRASH WITHOUT WARNING.

Remedy

REPLACE DEFECTIVE STEERING WHEEL HUBS.
