INCORRECT EMERGENCY EGRESS PLATES WERE INSTALLED ON ONE OF THE WINDOWS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THESE BUSES. THIS DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 217, "BUS WINDOW RETENTION AND RELEASE."

CONSEQUENCE OF NON-COMPLIANCE: THIS MAY RESULT IN INSUFFICIENT EMERGENCY EGRESS AREA IN THE EVENT OF A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
