Recalled: June 20, 1994 ~542 units affected 94E015

Description

TWO BRACKETS WHICH HOLD THE AIR RESERVOIR ARE WELDED TO THE SIDEPLATE OF THE NON-STRUCTURAL TAILFRAME OF THE CONVERTOR DOLLY. THIS BRACKET CAN CRACK AND EVENTUALLY BREAK, LEAVING THE RESERVOIR SUPPORTED BY HOSES AND TUBING.

Injuries / Consequence

WITHOUT ADEQUATE SUPPORT, THE AIR RESERVOIR WILL FALLFROM THE DOLLY AND BECOME A ROAD HAZARD.

Remedy

A STRUCTURAL LOWER FLANGE WILL BE WELDED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE TAILFRAME SIDEPLATES. THE PR-3 PRESSURE PROTECTION VALVE ON THE AIR RESERVOIR WILL BE RELOCATED TO CLEAR THE NEW FLANGE.
