Description

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: SCOOTERS. DURING FULL COMPRESSION OF THE SUSPENSION SYSTEM, THE FUEL SHUT-OFF VALVE ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE FUEL TANK, WILL COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE ENGINE HOUSING OF THE VEHICLE. THIS CONTACT CAN CAUSE A STRESS CRACK FRACTURE TO THE PETCOCK NIPPLE TO THE FUEL TANK JOINT.

Injuries / Consequence

THIS CONDITION CAN CAUSE A FUEL LEAKAGE. FUEL LEAKAGE, IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE, CAN RESULT IN A FIRE.

Remedy

AMERICAN SUNDIRO IS INSTRUCTING OWNERS TO CONTACT AN AUTHORIZED DEALER TO HAVE THEIR SCOOTER REPAIRED FREE OF CHARGE.
