Injuries / Consequence
LOW TORQUE CAN ALLOW THE ATTACHMENT BOLT TO LOOSEN AND SUBSEQUENTLY FATIGUE AND BREAK. THIS CAN RESULT IN SEPARATION OF THE LEFT-HAND CONTROL ARM FROM THE FRAME INCREASING THE POTENTIAL FOR A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL TIGHTEN THE LEFT-HAND LOWER CONTROL ARM-TO- FRAME REAR NUT TO THE PROPER TORQUE SPECIFICATION.
