Description
Vee Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd. (Vee Tyre) is recalling certain Taiga AT tires, size LT235/85R16 AT. The lower sidewall and inner liner may crack and separate. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 139, "New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles."
Injuries / Consequence
Tire separation can cause tire failure and a sudden loss of tire pressure, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed April 1, 2026. Additional letters will also be mailed April 1, 2026.
