Description
Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas, Inc. (Toyo) is recalling certain Open Country and Extensa tires. Please see the attached tire chart for a list of all affected sizes. The tires may have been produced using the wrong mold, which can result in the tread or tire sidewall detaching.
Injuries / Consequence
Tire tread or sidewall detachment can result in a sudden loss of tire pressure, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the tires for the DOT code and mold number and, if necessary, replace the tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 13, 2023. Owners may contact Toyo's customer service at 800-442-8696.
