Description

THE BASE OF THE VALVE IN THE TUBE CANNOT BE PROPERLY POSITIONED DUE TO MISMATCHED SIZE OF THE VALVE STEM AND WHEEL VALVE HOLE. THIS CAUSES A FOLD TO FORM IN THE TUBE ADJACENT TO THE VALVE BASE, WHICH MAY EVENTUALLY CAUSE THE TUBE TO LOSE AIR PRESSURE.

THE TUBES IN RECALL TIRES WILL BE REPLACED WITH A 700R15 TUBE HAVING A TR13 VALVE AT NO CHARGE. OWNERS ARE BEING NOTIFIED BY GOODYEAR TIRE AND RUBBER COMPANY, NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 81T011000.
