Unexpected Activation of Emergency Brakes

Description

Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2025 AP Series vehicles. The brake air line compression fitting may not be tightened correctly, which can allow the supply line or other air lines to detach and cause the chassis emergency brakes to engage.

Injuries / Consequence

Unexpected activation of the emergency brakes may cause the vehicle to stop suddenly, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the brake air lines. If the lines are improperly secured, Altec will provide instructions and a kit to secure the lines. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 3, 2025. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3242.
