Unseated Retaining Ring May Cause Cylinder Failure

Description

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Digger Derrick vehicles. An improperly seated retaining ring may cause the hydraulic cylinder to lose pressure, resulting in unintended boom movement.

Injuries / Consequence

Unintended boom movement increases the risk of injury.

Remedy

Dealers will replace the counterbalance valves, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 13, 2025. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3223.
