Description

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: SCHOOL BUSES UTILIZING 39" SCHOOL BUS PASSENGER SEATS. THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 222, "SCHOOL BUS PASSENGER SEATING AND CRASH PROTECTION."

THESE VEHICLES DO NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS STANDARD.

Remedy

OWNERS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH A MODIFICATION KIT WITH INSTRUCTIONS. A WALL MOUNT SUPPLEMENTAL BRACKET WILL BE ADDED TO THE WALL SIDE OF 39" SEATS. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN SEPTEMBER 10, 2003. OWNERS WHO DO NOT RECEIVE A FREE MODIFICATION KIT SHOULD CONTACT US BUS AT 1-845-357-2510.
