Vent Hose Clamp may Damage Rear Brake Line

Description

KTM North America, Inc. (KTM) is recalling certain model year 2015 690 Enduro R motorcycles manufactured November 1, 2014, to February 28, 2015. The rear brake line from the ABS pressure modulator to the foot brake cylinder may have been damaged during the assembly process and/or be subject to subsequent damage caused by contact with the spring clamp of the crank case ventilation hose.

Injuries / Consequence

A damaged brake line may cause a loss of rear braking ability, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

KTM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the positioning of the crank case ventilation hose clamp, correcting it as necessary. Any damaged brake line will be replaced. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began on May 1, 2015. Owners may contact KTM customer service at 1-888-985-6090. Note: Owners are advised to not ride their motorcycle until the recall has been remedied.
