HEATING ELEMENT IN OUTSIDE MIRROR, WHICH ADHERES TO THE REFLECTIVE ACRYLIC LENS, MAY SHORT DUE TO WATER BUILDUP IN MIRROR HOUSING.

THIS COULD RESULT IN MELTING OF THE LENS; DRIVER'S VIEWTHROUGH REAR VIEW MIRROR WOULD BE AFFECTED.

Remedy
