Description

East Manufacturing Corp. (East) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Refuse, Dump, Dolly Tipper Genesis, Frame Genesis, Frameless Genesis, Frame S&P, and Truck Dolly trailers manufactured August 26, 2013, to February 24, 2015. The affected trailers may have an insufficient amount of grease in the wheel end hubs.

Injuries / Consequence

If there is a lack of grease in the wheel end hubs, the wheel bearings may overheat, increasing the risk of a vehicle fire. There is also the possibility that the wheel can come off the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

East will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and add more grease to the wheel end hubs, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on September 9, 2015. Owners may contact East customer service at 1-330-325-8204.
