Description

JET IS RECALLING 11 MY 2009 GRAIN TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH ARVINMERITOR WHEEL END STUDS. THE WHEEL END STUDS WERE IMPROPERLY TEMPERED, POTENTIALLY RENDERING THEM BRITTLE AND SUSCEPTIBLE TO FRACTURE. IF ONE WHEEL STUB FRACTURES, THE REMAINING WHEEL STUDS ARE REQUIRED TO CARRY MORE LOAD.

Injuries / Consequence

IF ONE OF THE WHEEL STUDS BROKE AND WAS LEFT IN THIS CONDITION, THE REMAINING WHEEL STUDS MAY ALSO FRACTURE INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Remedy
