Description

John Evans Manufacturing Co. (John Evans) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 chassis and trailers; model year 2013-2014 remanufactured chassis and trailers, and model year 2013-2014 Cheetah Chassis and trailers. The affected products were manufactured September 5, 2012, through April 19, 2013. The wheel lug nuts may not be properly torqued.

Injuries / Consequence

Insufficient torque on the wheel lug nuts could lead to separation of the wheels from the chassis or trailer, which may increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy

John Evans will notify owners, and dealers will inspect each trailer. The affected trailers will have the lug nuts re-torqued, free of charge. The recall began on May 30, 2013. Owners may contact John Evans customer service at 1-803-436-3102.
