Description

CERTAIN AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT (ARE) ALUMINUM ALLOY WHEELS, SERIES AR-106 AND AR-606, SOLD AS AFTERMARKET FOR USE ON PASSENGER VEHICLES BETWEEN MARCH 1, 2003, AND APRIL 15, 2005. (SEE AMENDED DEFECT REPORT DATED JULY 20, 2005). SOME OF THESE WHEELS WERE SOLD BEFORE THE STEEL LUG NUT SEAT INSERTS TO MAKE THE WHEEL COMPLETE WERE INSTALLED.

Injuries / Consequence

WITHOUT THE SEAT INSERTS, THE WHEEL CAN SEPARATE FROM THE VEHICLE, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A VEHICLE CRASH.

Remedy

ARE WILL NOTIFY ITS CUSTOMERS AND REPLACE THE WHEELS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 25, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT AMERICAN RACING WAREHOUSE AT 800-959-1969 OR 310-761-4026.
