Description
Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, LLC (Bendix) is recalling certain Knorr-Bresme 22/24-57 brake chambers, with part number K068622 and K038830N00, sold as replacement parts for certain buses. The brake chamber may have been improperly manufactured, which can result in an air leak.
Injuries / Consequence
A brake chamber air leak may cause the parking brake to partially apply or slow to release, which can overheat the brakes and increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Bendix will replace the brake chambers, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 23, 2025. Owners may contact Bendix customer service at 1-800-247-2725.
