Park Brake May Fail or Engage Unexpectedly
Description
Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, LLC (Bendix) is recalling certain Intellipark Park Valve Modules (PVM) with part numbers, K266604R000, K189349, K273523R000 and, K273520R000. The rubber ball seal in the PVM may fracture and cause a leak, which can result in park brake failure or unexpected park brake engagement while driving.
Injuries / Consequence
Park brake failure or unexpected park brake engagement while driving increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the Intellipark PVM, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 27, 2024. Owners may contact Bendix customer service at 1-800-247-2725.
