Proterra Operation Company, Inc. (Proterra) is recalling certain battery packs, model number S1-15, with part numbers 129-6202, 139-6181, and 163-3642. An insufficient connection in the battery pack may cause the battery management system to shut down unexpectedly.
Injuries / Consequence
An unexpected battery management system shut down can result in a sudden loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Proterra will replace the battery pack, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 26, 2022. Owners may contact Proterra's customer service at 1-864-438-0000.
