Description

THERE IS AN INTERFERENCE FIT BETWEEN THE VALVE COVER BORE AND THE VALVE PISTON. THIS INTERFERENCE FIT SITUATION HAS BEEN AGGRAVATED BY LIQUID CONTAMINATION WITHIN THE AIR SYSTEM WHICH HAS CAUSED THE PISTON TO SWELL AND STICK (SEIZE) IN THE CYLINDER BORE.

Injuries / Consequence

PISTON SEIZURE CAUSES THE BRAKES TO DRAG WHICH COULDPRODUCE SUFFICIENT HEAT TO RESULT IN TIRE FIRES.

Remedy

REMOVE AND REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE RELAY VALVE.
