Description

CERTAIN VEHICLES MAY NOT COMPLY WITH FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 12I, "AIR BRAKE SYSTEMS". THIS REQUIRES THE AIR TANK CAPACITY TO BE AT LEAST TWELVE TIMES AS LARGE AS THE BRAKE CHAMBER VOLUME, TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE RESERVES FOR SITUATIONS WHICH MAY REQUIRE REPEATED BRAKE APPLICATIONS.
