Description
ST Engineering Hackney, Inc. (STE Hackney) is recalling certain 2011-2021 Kidron refrigerated truck bodies equipped with certain Carrier Transicold refrigeration units, including Supra models 950, 950MT, and 960. The centrifugal clutch may overheat under certain conditions, which can cause it to break apart.
Injuries / Consequence
Hot components from the clutch assembly may fall onto nearby flammable materials, such as leaves or other debris, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the panels around the clutch as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed 21, 2023. Owners may contact STE Hackney customer service at 1-252-946-6521.
