Electric Door Actuator May cause Fire
Description
Turtle Top is recalling certain model year 2009 Odyssey LT transit buses built on Ford Chassis manufactured August 1, 2009, through October 13, 2009 and equipped with A & M Systems passenger entrance/exit doors. Voltage spikes may damage the electrical components and electrical circuits of the door actuator, causing the circuit board to develop high resistance.
Injuries / Consequence
High resistance may cause the board to overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Turtle Top will notify owners and A&M Systems will replace the affected circuit boards, free of charge. The recall began on December 9, 2013. Owners may contact Turtle Top at 1-800-296-2105 or A&M at 1-574-522-5000 extension 15.
