Electric Motors May Unexpectedly Shut Down
Description
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America, Inc. (MFTA) is recalling certain 2024 FEC7K and FEC9K RIZON trucks. Excessive current may damage the circuit and cause the vehicle control unit to malfunction, resulting in a loss of drive power.
Injuries / Consequence
A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace any discolored or deformed connectors as necessary and install a sub harness, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 20, 2025. Owners may contact MFTA customer service at 1-877-711-0707. MFTA's number for this recall is C10131.
