Description

IMPROPER INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL WIRING TO THE EXTERIOR LIGHTS (BRAKE LIGHTS, RUNNING LIGHTS, AND TURN SIGNALS) OF THE TRAILER ALLOWS THE STEEL LIFTING CABLES USED TO RAISE AND LOWER THE FOLDING TOP TO RUB AGAINST THE ELECTRICAL WIRING WHENEVER THE TOP IS LOWERED OR RAISED.

Injuries / Consequence

CONTINUED RUBBING FROM THE STEEL LIFTING CABLES CAUSESLOSS OF INSULATION AROUND THE WIRES, RESULTING IN ELECTRICAL SHORT CIRCUITSAND A POSSIBLE FIRE HAZARD.

Remedy

A PLASTIC WIRING PROTECTOR WILL BE INSTALLED AROUND THE LIFTING CABLE.
