Description
Tegol, Inc. (Tegol) is recalling certain Outlaw V-5 Series helmets, in all sizes. These helmets may not adequately protect the wearer in the event of a head impact during a motorcycle crash. Additionally, the helmets may not stay secured to head during a motorcycle crash. As such, these helmets fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 218, "Motorcycle Helmets."
Injuries / Consequence
A helmet that fails to meet the safety requirements can increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Remedy
Tegol will notify owners and will refund owners the price of the helmet, free of charge. The recall began during March 2017. The Owners may contact Tegol customer service at 1-866-371-0281 or by email at [email protected].
