IMPROPER WIRING OF HARNESS BEHIND REAR TOILET

Description

ON CERTAIN MOTOR COACHES, THE ELECTRICAL WIRING HARNESS LOCATED BEHIND THE REAR TOILET WAS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED. AS A RESULT, RUBBING CAN OCCUR ON THE OUTSIDE WIRE INSULATION CAUSING THE INSULATION TO WEAR AWAY AND EVENTUALLY CAUSE SUBSEQUENT ARCING.

Injuries / Consequence

THIS COULD LEAD TO A SHORT CIRCUIT AND POSSIBLY A SUBSEQUENT FIRE.

Remedy

DEALERS WILL CHECK THE WIRING HARNESS ROUTING AND WILL CHANGE THE DAMAGED WIRES. IN ADDITION THE WIRING HARNESS WILL BE RELOCATED IN SUCH A WAY AS TO PREVENT RUBBING. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MAY 18, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT SETRA AT 1-800-882-8054.
