Description

Genie Industries, Inc. (Genie) is recalling certain model year 2016 TZ 34/20 trailer-mounted boom lifts manufactured January 5, 2016, to January 20, 2016. The affected lifts have bolts that attach the turntable to the rotation bearing that may not have been properly tightened.

Injuries / Consequence

If the bolts are not properly tightened, they may shear and the platform can fall, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy

Genie will notify owners, and dealers will correctly tighten the bolts attaching the turntable to the rotation bearing, free of charge. The began on March 9, 2016. Owners may contact Genie customer service at 1-800-536-1800. Genie's number for this recall is Issue 121.
