Description

THE SLIDE AXLE ASSEMBLIES ARE SECURED TO THE TRAILER FRAME WITH U-BOLTS, NUTS, AND LOCK WASHERS. THESE BOLTS WERE NOT TIGHTENED PROPERLY WHICH CAN CAUSE THE SLIDE AXLE ASSEMBLIES TO MOVE LATERALLY ALLOWING THE TRAILER TO NOT FOLLOW THE TOW VEHICLE CORRECTLY.

Injuries / Consequence

THE TRAILER MAY SWING BACK AND FORTH INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE COLLISION.

Remedy

DEALERS WILL TIGHTEN THE BOLTS TO THE PROPER TORQUE VALUE.
